looking to be settled...somewhere

Well, I thought I would give this "blog" thing a try. We'll see how it goes...

So, I guess I will just start with now. Currently, my family is living in Spanish Fork, Utah. We have been here since late November of 2007. However, we may not be here for much longer. We have a difficult time staying in any one place for very long. We thought Marty had a great job in Salt Lake City, but we were wrong. We have been looking for a job since March. After a few months of searching, we have found ourselves seriously considering a job in Pasco, Washington. Marty has an interview there on May 29. You never know where life is going to take you. I certainly would have never guessed Washington, but at this point we just have to wait and see. I mostly just want to be settled somewhere before too long.

So the last couple of months have been a bit strange. Marty and I have been around each other more in these last few months than we have in the last two years. It's been good, especially for the kids. They have needed to be around him and Marty's relationship with the kids has really grown. It has been good for us too, although, at this point we would probably both agree that it will be better when he starts working again. I think we have been driving each other a little nuts. But, since I am pregnant and due in August, it has been nice to have him here. I'm a pretty big baby about being pregnant and he has sure been a big help to me.

Anyway, I will keep you posted on the job situation. It will sure be nice when we have a better sense for the future. I like to be able to plan a little. Although, I am finding that task a bit more difficult with each passing year. Every time I think I have things a little figured out, I find that I am completely wrong. I'm guessing I'm not the only person who has learned this lesson.
